      AST is the first to start a truly international, interdisciplinary, full time one-year telecom management program in India known as Masters Program in Telecommunication Management (MPTM). The program is similar to Masters of Science and Telecommunication Management (MSTM) offered by prestigious Oklahoma State University www.mstm.okstate.edu (OSU), US.  The program is unique in focusing on the complex nature of telecom industry and covers all aspects related to it like Marketing, HR, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Telecom & IT Technology, Legal & Regulatory Issues, and Telecom Project Management. This interdisciplinary program gives a wider horizon of telecom industry as a whole. Simultaneously students can specialize in the area of interest to get a kick-start journey in telecom industry.

      MPTM is specifically designed to provide training to future telecommunication leaders who can manage telecommunication projects efficiently. They are equipped with management tools in addition to technological understanding as the program is a blend of 60% advanced Telecom/IT technologies and 40% core management studies. MPTM students develop broad knowledge in Business, Technical, and Communication disciplines as well as in-depth knowledge in specific elective areas chosen to best fit their career aspirations. They are provided with a strong foundation in principles and practices so that they can apply the knowledge in real world.

      The curriculum input has been taken from OSU and is designed after a rigorous research within telecom industry and experts involving analysis of manpower needs of leading telecom companies. The program is designed for individuals pursuing or planning a successful career in telecommunication to help them to enhance their knowledge about telecom industry, and hence the organization that employs them.
