Aegis Graham Bell Scholarship
Aegis School of Business and Telecom has established Aegis Graham Bell Award and scholarships as a tribute to father of the telephony, Sir Alexander Graham Bell. This Award is intended to promote innovation, entrepreneurship in field of Time (Telecom, Internet, Media & Edutainment) and to provide recognition for outstanding contributions in this field.
The scholarship test will be conducted across the country in cities to indentify the talented students who can contribute in the field of Time (Telecom, Internet, Media & Edutainment) through their innovative ideas or competency to convert an idea into a reality. Final winners will be awarded with the Aegis Graham Bell scholarship and honoured with a memento in a grand award ceremony at hotel Hyatt Regency in Mumbai on 14 May 2011.

What Aegis Graham Bell Scholarship recipients will get:
- Certificate of Aegis Graham Bell Scholar.
- Option to study Masters Program in Telecom Management (MPTM) plus on year PGDBM with full scholarship worth INR 450,000.
- Option to study MBA in Telecom Management with full scholarship worth INR 500,000.
- Option to study Executive Masters Program in Telecom Management (EMPTM) plus on year PGDBM with full scholarship worth INR 300,000 for experince candidates
- Aegis Graham Bell Scholar memento in a grand award ceremony at hotel Hyatt Regency in Mumbai on 4 June 2011.
Eligibility:
- Bachelors and Masters degree holders of 2011, 2010 and 2009, 2008 batches
- Minimum score of 60% or 6.5 CGPA or 3.5 GPA (on 4 scale) in BSc, BS, BE/BTech, MCA, MTech, MSc, MS and MBA.
Selection:
The Selection Committee comprises of eminent leaders from industry and academia under the guidance of Mr. V.P. Chandan, Director Aegis School, Director Punjab Communications and former President of Qualcomm India.
The scholarship test will be conducted across the country in major cities in India: Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur,Bhopal, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkota and Bhubneswar.
Selection Process for Category 1& 2

Selection Process for Category 1& 2 is same except candidates applying for Category 2 Aegis Graham Bell Scholar for innovative Ideas; need to submit a white paper/ proposal/ concept note. The concept paper should contain an abstract of not more than 500 -1000 words or one page and the paper itself should not exceed three pages. For Category 2 candidates more weightage will be given on idea than the test scores and academics.

Brief about the Masters Program in Telecom Management (MPTM):
The Aegis Masters Program in Telecom Management (MPTM) is a 45 credit hrs One year full time residential program. It is�commonly known as an MBA in Telecom Management in�India and an MS in Telecom Management in U.S.
The MPTM program was started in 2002 with Bharti Airtel's support to develop future telecom leaders, who understand technology and are able to perform in various functional areas in the telecom domain. It enables telecom managers, not only to understand telecom technology but also to take the right decisions on managerial, commercial and regulatory aspects.

Globally accepted Credit hr based model. aegis MPTM/ MBA/ MS in Telecom Management is a 45 credits hrs program equivalent to any�internationally recognized masters degree.
m)Work assistance ship commonly known as Part Time jobs to all selected and enrolled candidates for MPTM program. �Part Time jobs are available with Aegis School of Business and other companies like Jaina Systems, Inner Circle, LeadCap Ventures, Aspiretech and Bach Connections. Candidates need to work for 15 hrs a week and they get Rs. 5000 to10,000 per month.
