Financial Aid

Aegis believes in giving equal opportunities to everyone, including high caliber individuals who lack financial resources, by extending financial support to them. At Aegis various forms of financial aids offered are:

1. Study Loan from Bank
2. Work Assistance with Aegis and partner firms
3. Scholarships

Study Loan from Banks
Various Indian banks are offering education loans to Indian candidates, which cover tuition fee as well as entire living expenses of one year, without any security. The loan is subject to the terms and condition of the banks on a case to case basis. Upon confirm admission, Aegis provides necessary documents to facilitate the processing of candidate’s bank loan.

Work Assistance
Aegis offers paid work or consulting assignments to cover the partial cost of education at Aegis. Students who are offered work assistance are assigned to work for 2/3 hours every day on various projects and assignments of Aegis and/or partner firms. The supervising faculty member may or may not be the student's main advisor. Duties may include all tasks needed to pursue research in a given area, such as:

  • - Data Collection, Entry, and Analysis
  • - Writing Reports
  • - Copying, Filing, and Collating
  • - Partly/ fully organizing various events

Scholarships 
A range of scholarships are available to students of all nationalities to support full-time study at Aegis School of Business & Telecommunication. All successful candidates are considered for scholarship support. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early to ensure that they are considered for all scholarship opportunities. Please note that scholarships vary in value and have different criteria on which they are awarded.

 Aegis Graham Bell Scholarship 2013
Aegis School of Business and Telecommunication has established Aegis Graham Bell scholarship as a tribute to father of the telephony, Sir Alexander Graham Bell in association with PwC (knowledge Partner) and Convergence India. The scholarship tests are conducted across cities in the country to identify the talented students who can contribute in the field of Time (Telecom, Internet, Media & Edutainment) through their innovative ideas or competency to convert an idea into a reality. Final winners will be awarded with the Aegis Graham Bell scholarship and honoured with a memento in a grand award ceremony in New Delhi.

Aegis Graham Bell Scholarship 2013 Categories: 
- Aegis Graham Bell Scholar (for students  having academic - excellence)
- Aegis Graham Bell Scholar (for students for innovative Ideas)
- Mobile Applications by students
- Amdocs Aegis Graham Bell Scholar

What Aegis Graham Bell Scholarship recipients will get:
- Certificate of Aegis Graham Bell Scholar.
- Option to study Masters Program in Telecom Management (MPTM) with full scholarship at Aegis. 
- Aegis Graham Bell Scholar memento in a grand award ceremony in New Delhi.

Eligibility:
- Bachelors and Masters degree holders of 2011, 2012 and 2013 batches.
- Minimum score of 75% or 8 CGPA or 3.5 GPA (on 4 scale) in BS, BE/BTech, MCA, MTech, MSc and MS.

Selection:
The Selection Committee comprises of eminent leaders from industry and academia under the guidance of Mr. V.P. Chandan, Director Aegis School, Director Punjab Communications and former President of Qualcomm India. The scholarship test will be conducted across the country in major cities: Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkota and Bhubaneswar.

Selection Process for Category 1 & 2:
- Written Test
- Short listing for interview
- Interview by Committees
- Final selection

Aegis Graham Bell Scholar for academic excellence:
Here emphasis is laid on the academic knowledge. The selection process comprise of written test followed by interview by committees leading to final selection.

Aegis Graham Bell Scholar for students for innovative Ideas: Selection process for category 2 is similar to 1 except that here the candidates need to submit a white paper/ proposal/ concept note. The concept paper should contain an abstract of not more than 500 -1000 words or one page and the paper itself should not exceed three pages. In this category more weightage will be given to the idea than the test scores and academics.

  • Aegis Aptitude Test (AAT) by TrackExcel ( Formerly G4testing this company conducts and designs campus recruitment test for Capgemini, Hexaware, TCS etc)

    **Candidates who have any one of below mentioned test scores need not appear for the aptitude test and can be considered directly for the Personal interview.

    Valid Scores: GMAT (Min 650), GRE (min 1100 or 275) and CAT (Min 95) (Aegis GRE code is 5730)

    Documents required at the time of test and Interview:

    1) Copy of the Application form
    2) Updated CV
    3) Copy of mark sheet/ transcripts
    4) Copy of recommendation letter
    5) Admit Card
    6) Identity proof

Deadline: Application deadline is 10 June 2013.

Schedule for test and panel discussion for all locations: The dates for the upcoming tests and interview would be posted prior to the conduction.
